The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts

The museum is situated in the premises of the former Museum of Fine Arts in the old Moscow street Volkhonka. The building of the museum was constructed to the design by the architect R.Klain in 1898-1912. The museum is named after the greatest Russian poet and writer Pushkin. The museum constantly increases its collection. The collection of the museum numbers about 5000 paintings, 35000 drawings and engravings, as well as 100000 coins and medals. The exposition of the museum offers an opportunity to get acquainted with the development of the world art from prehistoric period till the present.
