The annual International Festival of Sand Sculpture in St. Petersburg locates on the Beach of Peter and Paul Fortress. Organizers: Museum of the History of St. Petersburg - Peter & Paul Fortress, "Art- Assembly" Production Center. Every year artists from all over the world (20 - 30 teams) create masterpieces of world culture from a fragile material. The theme of the 2010 year was - “The World Cinema”. Artists created well-known film characters like Fantomas, Cleopatra, King Kong as well as famous heroes of Russian cinema.
